Erin and Matt were married on Saturday May 16th, 2009 at Saint Pius Tenth Church in Rochester, New York. The big day started at Amissa Salon in Spencerport, New York, where Erin and her bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done. Next, we traveled to Erin's mother's house in Spencerport for some getting ready shots. After the ceremony, we traveled to the Lilac Festival at Highland Park in Rochester for some traditional and fun shots of the wedding party. The bridal party was up for anything so we had fun hunting for the perfect lilac bushes for the backdrop. People were applauding and waving the whole time to congratulate the bride and groom. The reception was at the Radison Riverside Hotel in downtown Rochester. There was a Junior Prom and a Senior Ball the same night in the other ballrooms which we took a short field trip to. The weather was perfect, the rain held off until we were done getting a few shots outside of the Radison Riverside Hotel by the bridge. What a wonderful day and a wonderful couple!

Kelly Family
My photography assistant, Jackie, is blessed to have such a great big family. Last weekend, her husband's three brothers and their families all came to town for a surprise birthday party for their mother. It was a perfect time to do their family portraits. We went behind Wayland-Cohocton High School in Wayland, New York. We found just the perfect spot. There's a trail through the woods and part way down the path is a gigantic tree that has fallen down. The kids all piled up on the fallen down and partially petrified branches. It was a perfect day for family portraits!
WCCS Junior Prom
My son, Iggy, and his friends went the Junior Prom last weekend at the Knigts of Colombus in Hornell, New York. First, they came over to have their prom portraits taken. Then we went down to the newest Bed and Breakfast, Amity Rose, in Canisteo, New York for some outdoor pics. It was a cool but sunny day. The kids had a great time at the Prom. Afterward, they went to an after prom party at Erica's. A big thank you to her parents for hosting the kids.

Dolan
It was such a joy to photograph Dolan. He is a sweet 20 month old boy who loves to ride on his Great Grandparent's farm tractor. So when his mother asked me to photograph him on his Great Grandparent's antique farm tractor, I was thrilled. It was a beautiful morning when we went to their farm. Dolan sat on the tractor very seriously and then we took some other shots of him next the barn and tractor wheels. I can't wait to photograph him again.

Kaitlyn
I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting Kaitlyn this weekend. She is a beautiful young girl who is having her first communion on May 2, 2009. As a special treat, her mother wanted to have portraits taken in her beautiful white gown and veil. Kaitlyn is such a graceful girl, she naturally posed for the camera without hesitation. She even did some ballet steps for us. I look forward to photographing her again and meeting her younger brother.

Beardsley Family
I had a visit by one of my very favorite families, the Beardsley family. Maddie and Carson were dressed very cutely. Carson was all in blue and Maddie in a colorful spring dress. We had fun with the cat--Madeline's favorite pet when she's here---the cat even jumped upside down on my head. Afterward, it was off to NYC for Maddie's birthday. Check out the great vid for more shots!

Jessica & Adam
Jessica and Adam's wedding was on December 27, 2008. It was a perfect winter's day--not too cold and sunny. Jessica was absolutely beautiful! Her dress was so elegant. The formals were done at the church and the reception was held at the famous "Green Lantern Inn." But first we went to a historic church to take some downtown night shots in Fairport, New York. The streets were full of a supportive audience. The passing autos shared their spirit through their continuous hooting and beeping. The wedding party was a lot of fun and very charismatic. Jessica and Adam are such a sweet couple. We wish them all the best!

Thanksgiving in Florida
We had the special occasion of celebrating Thanksgiving in Florida this year with family. It was great to see my parents, grandma, and cousins that I hadn't seen in so many years. For Thanksgiving dinner we went to my cousin, Amber's new house. It was so wonderful. Amber and her husband had recently bought a new house and with their second child on the way, they have plently of space to grow. Amber looked radiant with only a few months to go until the birth of her second child. Nolin, her first son, was so adorable. Tonya, her husband and new baby, Allana, were there also. It was so great to see them. The baby was so precious just full of smiles. I wanted to take her home with me. Grandma looked great, full of life and love, how I always remembered her. Uncle Jim and Sis looked so happy to be living the life they want, traveling the United States, visiting family and friends from out of town as they please. My only wish was that I could have seen Tammy and her family also. Sometimes, I feel so out of place, living so far away and not being able to see my family as frequently as I wish. For the majority of my life, I spent holidays celebrating with them. I miss them and love them dearly!
